Our Commitment
The South Dakota Board of Regents is committed to preventing sexual assault and helping victims recover. To achieve this, the board has established policies focusing on three key objectives.
These policies require institutions to:
-
- Sponsor programs aimed at preventing sexual assault
- Adopt practices that ensure prompt, fair, and informed investigation and resolution of complaints related to sexual harassment
- Provide reasonable accommodations to victims and inform them about the support services available within university communities
Title IX Offices and Contacts
The universities and special schools governed by the South Dakota Board of Regents adhere to Title IX regulations by prohibiting discrimination based on sex in employment, educational programs, and activities. Our goal is to ensure an atmosphere free from all types of harassment and discrimination, such as sexual harassment, sexual violence, sexual assault, sexual coercion, and rape.
