Academics & Student Affairs
Our Academic and Student Affairs office provide services to support the Board of Regents strategic plan including academic programming and curriculum, system enrollment services, academic and student information services support, FAFSA Completion, workforce development and programming, distance learning including the SD-SARA, systemwide scholarship management, academic institutional research, statewide collaboration with the Department of Education, Board of Technical Education, and the Department of Labor and Regulations, and policy and planning. Our staff work with the Regental campuses on academic initiatives and collaborations to promote postsecondary education in South Dakota. The Regental system is committed to working closely with all federal and state agencies and private enterprise to further develop collaboration across the state.
Academic Affairs Council
BOR Policy supports the collaborative efforts of the six public universities in academic affairs. Therefore, the vice and associate vice presidents from each of the universities and the Regental office make up the membership of this committee. This committee serves to evaluate Board Policy, academic affairs procedures and guidelines, and partners in academic strategy for the system.
Student Affairs Council
BOR Policy supports the collaborative efforts of the six public universities in student affairs. Therefore, the vice and associate vice presidents from each of the universities and the Regental office make up the membership of this committee. This committee serves to evaluate Board Policy, student affairs, enrollment management procedures, guidelines, and partners in student success strategies and enrollment strategies for the system. Faculty Affairs
Communication is a cornerstone for the Board of Regents as they partner with faculty. To ensure an effective communication strategy, the Board of Regents holds a faculty forum prior to each Board Meeting with faculty leadership. In addition, through policy, faculty make up the discipline councils to share and discuss academic collaborative efforts and special initiatives.
